Chelsea midfielder Ji So-yun will leave the club at the end of the season and return home to South Korea. Longstanding member of the Blues, Ji will remain widely regarded as one of the WSL’s most influential and creative players. The 31-year-old has made 208 appearances for the Blues and netted 37 goals; she has also been a part of the squad that has won all eleven of Chelsea’s major trophies. Chelsea manager Emma Hayes commented, “what an honour and a privilege it’s been to coach one of the most amazing players the WSL has ever seen. There’s no question she’s been the most successful player from outside our league.”
