Leicester caused a bit of a surprise in the fourth round when they beat high flying fellow WSL side Tottenham 3-1 after extra time. Lydia Bedford’s side also won their last two league games before the international break to lift them up to tenth place and eight points above the relegation place. Chelsea are unbeaten in seven games in all competitions and are second in the league. When the pair met earlier in the season at Kingsmeadow, Chelsea won 2-0 with the goals coming in the last 10 minutes of the match from Harder and Kirby. ---- Liverpool v Arsenal Venue- Prenton Park CH42 9PY Kick off time- 12pm (midday) Sunday 27th February 2022 Tickets- Liverpool FC Twitter- @LiverpoolFCW v @ArsenalWFC The top sides in the WSL and Championship face each other at Prenton Park on Sunday. The home side haven’t lost in the league since the opening day and have won their last six league games. Arsenal are unbeaten in their last five games in all comps but have drawn three of those. Manchester United v Manchester City Venue- Leigh Sports Village WN7 4JY Kick off time- 12:30pm Sunday 27th February 2022 Tickets- Man United Tickets (manutd.com) Twitter- @ManUtdWomen v @ManCityWomen Another Manchester derby after they met two weeks ago in the last league game before the international break in which Manchester City won 1-0 thanks to Caroline Weir’s chip. This will be the fourth meeting between the sides this season with the other league match being a 2-2 draw and United winning 2-1 in the Conti Cup, both of these were played at Leigh. Both sides have been on pretty decent form and United are currently fourth in the league whilst City are fifth. Both sides entered the competition in the previous round where Manchester United won 2-0 away at Bridgwater United and Manchester City won 8-0 at the City Ground against Nottingham Forest. This tie is live on BBC2 ---- Charlton Athletic v Everton Venue- The Oakwood DA1 4DN Kick off time- 1pm Sunday 27th February 2022 Tickets- Charlton Athletic Ticketing (cafc.co.uk) Twitter- @CAFCWomen v @EvertonWomen Charlton, who are third in the Championship, take on Everton who haven’t had the best season and are eleventh in the WSL. Charlton are undefeated in their last ten games in all competitions whilst Everton’s only win in their last seven matches was in the last round of the FA Cup. Charlton won 1-0 away to Gillingham in the third round then beat Plymouth Argyle 6-0. Everton won away 4-0 against Huddersfield Town in the last round. Could this tie be a potential upset?

Durham are fifth in the Championship but their form is a bit mixed. Birmingham are bottom of the WSL and now getting a bit adrift having lost their last four league games. Durham won 6-0 away to Leeds United then played fellow Championship side Blackburn Rovers at home and won 3-1. Birmingham got through after extra time against Sunderland, winning 3-1. Another potential upset? ---- Ipswich Town v Southampton Venue- The Goldstar Ground IP11 9HT Kick off time- 2pm Sunday 27th February 2022 Tickets- Ipswich Town Ticketing (itfc.co.uk) Twitter- @ITFCWomen v @SaintsFCWomen A National League side will defiantly be in the quarter-finals with these two from the Southern Premier Division playing against each other at Felixstowe. Ipswich are currently top whilst Southampton are third but have played five games less. Both have only lost one league game this season with Southampton’s defeat being to Ipswich in November. They both started their FA Cup campaigns in the first round with Ipswich having victories against Milton Keynes Dons, Crawley Wasps, AFC Wimbledon and Newcastle United to reach this stage whilst Southampton have beaten Swindon Town, Ilminster Town, Portsmouth and then caused an upset by knocking out Championship side Bristol City in the fourth round. Ipswich have yet to concede a goal in this season’s FA Cup whilst Southampton have only let in one themselves.

West Bromwich Albion v Coventry United Venue- Coles Lane B72 1NL Kick off time- 2pm Sunday 27th February 2022 Tickets- Check social media or with club as nothing announced yet (as far as I can see). Twitter- @WBAWomen v @CovUnitedLFC A West Midlands derby which sees West Brom, who play in National League Northern Premier Division, take on Championship side Coventry United. West Brom are currently eighth in the league whilst Coventry are twelfth and bottom of the second tier. West Bromwich have already won four games to reach this stage, beating Crewe Alexandra, Lincoln United, Long Eaton United and in the fourth round winning a penalty shoot-out against Exeter City. Coventry United won 4-0 away to Watford then also won on penalties in the last round against Billericay Town. Could there be a shock in this one and we see two National League sides in the quarter-finals? ---- Reading v West Ham United Venue- Select Car Leasing Stadium RG2 0FL Kick off time- 2pm Sunday 27th February 2022 Tickets- Reading FC Ticketing Twitter- @ReadingFCWomen v @westhamwomen A repeat of the FA Cup semi final of 2019, which West Ham won on penalties, at the Select Car Leasing Stadium on Sunday. Both sides played away in the fourth round with Reading beating fellow WSL side Brighton & Hove Albion 3-2 whilst West Ham won 4-1 against Sheffield United. Reading had been on a good run until they lost to Brighton in their last league game whilst West Ham’s form has been a bit more patchy. They currently sit next to each other in the WSL table with Reading sixth and West Ham seventh. They have played once in the league so far this season and that finished in a 2-2 draw at West Ham.
